Pittwater to Coffs Harbour

Januray 2nd 2011

I've only ever competed in 1 Pittwater to Coffs and that was in 2009 onboard e11even. We finished 4th overall and 3rd in division. However 5 years ago I actually sponsored the event when I was running SeaSpray and Yachtworld so I have a history with the event.

With this year being the 30th running the field is expected to be very competitive and so I have decided to get the Welbourn 12 down to this event and the following Coffs to Paradise race. As a downwind flyer, this race is perfect for our boat and we will be up the front challenging bigger boats.

I am inviting you to join me and am offering 6 crew positions to people who can bring sponsors to our program. All you need to do to join this program is contact us with your sailing resume. This is a high tech vessel and we want to ensure we have a good crew however half of the crew positions are available to inexperienced sailors or youth.

We need to know who your sponsors are and how much you are bringing to the program. We require a minimum of $2,500 in sponsorship to join this program. You can raise the funds any way you like. You can find businesses, raise funds at your Yacht Club, business or school or fund it yourself. Contact us for what we can do for your sponsor.

We will be pushing the Save Our Seas Australia organisations message in this race and additional funds will go towards the work they do in creating awareness of the damage plastic bags do to our environment, promoting awareness and taking action by organising clean up days and teaching our next generation.
