Meridien Marinas Airlie Beach Race Week
12-19th August

Last year I raced in this event with mates from Airlie Beach aboard the Farr 40 e11even. With an inexperienced crew we raced against the best in Australia. We ended up 7th overall which was a great result however it was the fun of this great event that I enjoyed the most. With Meridien Marinas one of my sponsors, this was always going to be an event on my calendar.
This year I will be racing the Welbourn 40 in the PHS division with a full crew. On current entries we will be racing for line honours in our division. I am inviting you to join me and am offering 6 crew positions to people who can bring sponsors to our program.
All you need to do to join this program is contact us with your sailing resume. This is a high tech vessel and we want to ensure we have a good crew however half of the crew positions are available to inexperienced sailors or youth.
We need to know who your sponsors are and how much you are bringing to the program. We require a minimum of $2,000 in sponsorship to join this program. You can raise the funds any way you like. You can find businesses, raise funds at your Yacht Club, business or school or fund it yourself. Contact us for what we can do for your sponsor.
We will be pushing the Save Our Seas Australia organisations message in this race and additional funds will go towards the work they do in creating awareness of the damage plastic bags do to our environment, promoting awareness and taking action by organising clean up days and teaching our next generation.
